Strongest annual house price growth in December since 2002 - 10.8%
The UK recorded average house price growth of 10.8% đ in 2021. This is the strongest annual growth at the year end since 2002.
The average price of a UK home đĄ now stands at ÂŁ274,712, marking another record high. House prices increased by nearly ÂŁ27,000 over the course of 2021.
Annual increases in house prices were seen in all regions of the UK đŹđ§ The South West experienced the biggest increase (13.6%), followed by Wales đ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó ż(13%).
Detached (15.3%) and semi-detached (11.1%) homes recorded above annual growth in a market continuing to be driven by equity and a desire for more space.
